Gregor learns of his role in another Underland prophecy, yet he swears he will never return to that place. But his vow crumbles when his little sister Boots is snatched. Gregor knows it is a ploy to lure him to the subterranean world, but he gives in and heads back underground, where he is reunited with his bat Ares, the princess Luxa and new allies. Together they descend into the deadly Waterway in search of an ominous rat known as Bane. But Gregor must face the possibility of his greatest loss yet and make life and death choices that will determine the future of the Underland.

Need opinions does the shelf look good with a book turned out like that?

Book #2 in the series. Gregor and Boots get tangled up in another adventure in the underworld. This time they get split up, there‘s a fight with the rats, and everything seems a bit different. My@biggest question though? What is it that Ms. Cormaci, their neighbor, really know.

The Crawlers snatch Boots from Central Park for the Underlanders, believing she is in danger according to the Prophecy of Bane. Chaos ensues! An incredible sequel featuring the value of teamwork, not jumping to conclusions and singing songs to toddlers in order to get what you need! 😍 On to book 3!

Chrissyreadit I totally could see this kid as Boots! 6y
IamIamIam @Chrissyreadit Right?? I laughed out loud when she asked Gregor if they could go swimming yesterday. My kids had such a problem with the concept of tomorrow and yesterday when they were small!!! 😂😂 6y

Gregor continues his adventure, this time on a boat! Less predictable than the first book.

This is the second book in the series. The hero is 11 years old, I am crying about fictional characters, we still have about 100 pages left to go and I just requested the third from the library because I know they will have to transfer it from another branch!

ElizabethAndino Heard about this series in a cool podcast called Books Between...all about middle grade reading! Love it! 7y

Whenever I think of Gregor and the princess, I think it is Gregor and Samsa. Uh, no, me. Her name is Luxa. This IS a story with huge bugs, but Gregor ISN'T one 😹

I am notorious for reading just the first book of young adult series but a 5th grader told me I HAD to read the second one of the Gregor series--they are so very good.

Nebklvr @ScrappyMags I try to read those books that are recommended to me since they are usually willing to give my recs a chance! 8y
Nebklvr @ScrappyMags Apparently I stalled out in maturity at 4-6th grade level because those are my favorites! 8y
ScrappyMags @Nebklvr many of them are mine as well. It will only get worse as my niece gets older. I'm already the age 0-5 book guru who picks "the best books EVER!!!" Lol (no kids of my own). Dragons Love Tacos is one of favorites of all time now 8y
Nebklvr @ScrappyMags I am in the same boat! My 6th grade niece asks me why I read kids books and then turns around and asks for recs. 0-5 years. "Oh no!" By Fleming 8y
ScrappyMags @Nebklvr ❤️ yes!!! 8y
ScrappyMags @Nebklvr oh and she turns 6 in February and she's transitioning to those early reader books. I was shocked she loves the "Frog and Toad " books like I did ??? 8y
