pickA collection of short stories, some featuring Joe Pickett and/or Nate Romanowski, and some that take place outside of the Joe Pickett series. All are really good, but there are a few standout stories. The best part, as always with this author, are his descriptions of nature. You can just tell how much he loves to be outdoors. Mr Box makes the rural Wyoming landscape really come alive. I hope he continues to write short stories.
pickI‘m not big on short stories, but his concise usage of words tells the story as succinctly as possible. The stories are a bit dark, so reading one after the other can weigh on you.
pickFinished this good selection of Short Stories by C J Box. Very well written.
Now I need to read his main series.
