I would use this book in my future classroom because students would really engage with the wild adventures that the children go through. Also, they would engage with the whimsical characters.

This chapter book was a book in the series of Magic Tree House. It falls under Modern Fantasy because the book has logical framework and internal consistency. Also, the book contains fantasy elements by incorporating characters like Merlin the magician and made a convincing plot with creatures like dragons.

#UCFLAE3414SU19 This is a MF book that would be great for LC- Jack & Annie are tasked to find the key to happiness for Merlin (who has been sad). They do so by going back in time by traveling back in time to Edo (current day Tokyo). They meet Master Basho (a poet) and experience tense and fiery situations. Our characters save the day but then realize they forgot their mission. After thinking back on their time in Edo they have the answers needed.

DawnS By using this is book in an LC you can meet UDL 3.3 of guiding information processing & visualization and EL 10 of teaching T-P-S strategies in groups. https://www.magictreehouse.com/teachers/resources/?age-verified=ef1fa0b5a3 has a lot of fun resources for your LC groups 5y
DrSpalding Think about the Geography connections you could make to this series! The possibilities are endless. I like the idea of utilizing these books for literature circles and as complements to your social studies and science curriculum. 5y
