A collection of mildly unnerving stories. It was a good palate cleanser after some other effed up reads. Before I came across this title I had no idea Roald Dahl wrote adult books as well. 💋💋

Oh my God! I realllllyy loved this book. I've always been a huge fan of Roald Dahl. I've been reading his books since I was a child. This one is a short story collection and I loved each and every story. I should say, they were so dark(not for the soft hearts). And just as the subtitle says, expect the unexpected. Must try.

Weeeeellllll... Do you know these books, you don't know, how to rate? This is exactly the case with this book. On the one hand I liked some of these stories, even if I wasn't expecting stories like these. I thought, it was also a children's book and was quite wondering, after I read the first story, what I was reading... Did you read the book? Did you like it? #litsylovechallenge

Great collection of dark and twisted short stories by Roald Dahl! Some stories gave me anxiety because you knew exactly that something bad will happen to an endearing character. Only one story ended with a horrible person getting exactly what they deserve.
I will be on the look-out for more of Dahls short fiction now.

We have all of Roald Dahl's children books, but this is my first of his books written for adults. He's such a superbly versatile writer and a great storyteller. A few of the stories here are mediocre in my opinion, but mostly they are a gem and I would recommend them. He never cease to amaze me.
