Tomorrow!
Tomorrow! | Philip Wylie
1 post
This book may change your life. It may save it. It is one of the most important--and most shocking--books ever written. Tomorrow! is a story of average, nice Americans living in the neighboring cities of Green Prairie and River City in Middle America. It is--until the sudden blitz--the story of the girl next door and her boyfriend; of the accountant who saw what was coming, and the rich old lady who didn't; of engaging young kids, babies, "hoods," a bank official who "borrowed" from a customer's account. Then, at the height of the Christmas shopping season, Condition Red is sounded, and this down-to-earth story of America's Main Street becomes a shattering, vivid experience of the nightmare that human beings have cooked up for themselves. Tomorrow! can be read as a novel of pure suspense--if you dare. It is a thriller in which the apocalyptic technology of today is superimposed on the future. But the novel is also designed to show Philip Wylie's conclusions about America's dangerous vulnerability to dread, hysteria, and panic, as well as his recommendations about what must be done.

#TeamWhoYaGonnaCall One more sleep then the spooktacular fun begins! Keep track of your points (don't forget the word search, and don't forget to time how long you read!!!) Also, keep us all informed with your reading and watching. Each #scarathlon post you make nets you 1 point. Write a review, cross things off your TBR or Bucket List, ask for movie suggestions. But most importantly: Have some frightening fun!

ChaoticMissAdventures Team any tips for a person with terrible time management, and who will read like 2 pages while in line? I am wondering if finding the audio book time and using that is considered cheating? I normally read 3-4 books at a time and am terrible at sitting for stretches of time to read. Thanks! 1y
Airykah13 @ChaoticMissAdventures I don‘t see anything wrong with using audiobook time. It‘s a good estimate. 1y

FlynnDewey @ChaoticMissAdventures Not cheating at all! Whatever you need to do to record your time. I generally set a timer on my watch. If I remember lol. 1y
bthegood @ChaoticMissAdventures keep count of time whatever way you need to and have fun -If I'm reading at different times throughout the day, in different places, than I guestimate based on total number of pages read that day 🙂 (edited) 1y
ChaoticMissAdventures @Airykah13 @FlynnDewey @bthegood thanks so much! There are so many ways for points, and it is a bit overwhelming! Going to do our best! 1y
FlynnDewey @ChaoticMissAdventures I totally get that feeling, trust me! I say, just focus on the areas you think will be more fun. Do more Readathons or focus more on the games. The points are nice, but the reading and the games are the best part for me. Don't stress about points. :D Just have fun! 1y
Melismatic @FlynnDewey I‘m keeping tabs on my reading thru the Bookly app - I find that helpful. Do we get points for hours read it is that the readathon thing? 😅 1y
FlynnDewey @Melismatic That's right! Readathons are a great way to build points, since you get them for time spent reading. And you can participate in more than one at a time! 1y
