Don't They Know It's Friday
Don't They Know It's Friday: Cross Cultural Considerations for Business and Life in the Gulf | Jeremy Williams
4 posts
This book addresses the cross-cultural aspects of life affecting Westerners and Gulf nationals in the GCC. It deals with the realities of business, and the stresses and strains of operating in the Gulf as a Western visitor or expatriate. It delivers, in a straightforward manner, the effects of Islam on the daily life of the expatriate, and is a valuable reference to proper behaviour in the Arab world.

TheNeverendingTBR Lost in Translation!!! 💛 6y
Whimsical.Curiosity I believe! But I also think those things happen because of reasons we create whether we realize it or not. 6y
youneverarrived @trioxin_sematary I‘ve watched it countless times 💛 6y

youneverarrived @Whimsical.Curiosity I get that ❤️ 6y
Kaye Yep. We are here to learn by mistakes, get paid back either negatively or positively , depending on the situation. I‘ve seen things happen to me and others too many times to count , that always come full circle. Karma. 6y
youneverarrived @Kaye I absolutely believe in karma. You think we have lives before this one then to accumulate all that karma? Bit deep for a Friday night but I‘m interested in what you think. 6y
Jerdencon Yes... you may not realize it at the moment but when you look back and see the reason for it 6y
youneverarrived @Jerdencon do you think we should always go with our gut choices then? I‘m at a crossroads in my life at the min lol trying to figure out which way is best for me. (edited) 6y
Jerdencon @youneverarrived I do believe in listening to your gut and instincts are usually right. Good luck to you! 🙂 6y
Kaye I believe so. I think we are recycled for lack of a better term. 6y
TheBookHippie Nope. I also get angry people every time I express this opinion 😂😂😳 6y
Bostonmomx2 Sometimes but it‘s hard to believe that about everything. 6y
youneverarrived @Jerdencon thank you 😘 6y
youneverarrived @Kaye ohh I like that term. 6y
Centique I love Lost in Translation! I‘m keen to get that lost in a big city vibe from a book too. Have you got any ideas for that? 6y
youneverarrived @Centique The Lonely City is brilliant for that type of feeling but it‘s non-fiction. Only other book that springs to mind is Good Morning, Midnight by Jean Rhys. 6y
Centique @youneverarrived thank you so much - those both sound excellent! 6y
Trashcanman That's one of my favorite movies. I love Bill Murray. 6y
