bailedI hate to leave this review as I adore Kleypas's Wallflowers & Ravenels series.
I love the enemies-to-lovers trope but this one made me cringe. Too much inexcusable, awful behavior. What happened in this story just can't lead to a HEA. Their respective backstories just weren't enough to elicit enough sympathy for this kind of behavior. I couldn't get to the HEA. DNF at 44%.

pickI loved, loved, loved this book!! I love when I can get sucked into a romance book and never want to put it down. I didn‘t care for Alex forcing his will on Lily when she said no, but he didn‘t do it maliciously. They were both so strong willed, that they were a perfect match.
I‘m glad I discovered Lisa Kleypas books! For some reason I‘m very picky about the romance novels I read!

so-soOverall loved the story and characters but how the intimacy came about with these two characters was...odd. It was good for the characters for it to happen but HOW they got there made it feel skeezy. Don't let it deter you, still a great story.
