This was really hard to get into, which is strange given that it is a short story. It all seemed a bit sudden and teenage girl "Daddy I love him" for someone you just met. If the story had been longer so there could be more backstory it would have been better. But I did finish it so it can't be all bad

Considering i know almost nothing about the English Civil War this was still an ok read but there is almost no introduction of the characters to each other. It seems a bit rushed. The story is a bit lame and repetitive for such a small book
