pickI never read any Moomin as a kid and right now I regret that. On the other hand, I'm sure that several of the stories would have scared me, I was easily scared as a kid. The Moomin cartoons scared me. On one level these stories are cozy and makes you believe that everything will be all right. Reading these stories as an adult, I also see other important themes like being kind to others, acceptance and integration of strangers. Cont in comments

I assume that almost every Litten can relate to this, staying in bed to read instead of getting up at 4 to clean.
If only cleaning was like this. The moomins turns everything into something fun. When they are cleaning they pretend that it‘s earthquake and that the dust is explosive.
This drawing reminds me of an other famous bridge scene, Whinnie the Pooh and Piglet.
I just love maps in books. This one shows the world of the Moomin.
Next up. I loved watching the Mommin cartoons growing up. And this summer there is an expedition not that far from me that I want to visit.
And since I want to come prepared I am going to read the stories for the first time.
