I love this story so much so my husband bought me this UK first edition (calling @LeahBergen #firsteditionqueen 😘) ten years or more ago. It‘s about an orphaned boy living with his elderly aunts - ⬇️
pickI love Capote‘s stories that are so sweet and endearing and that take place in the south. The ridiculous but hilarious image of all those people up in the tree house was so perfect! Wonderful characters, well-written and charming!
I am a little excited to have found this at a local thrift store today. I‘ve never read his short stories prior to his becoming famous with Breakfast at Tiffany‘s” and “In Cold Blood “. And yes, the thrift store‘s name is out of the closet. I try and support them because of their work with HIV testing.
