Mmm, Cookies has been a favorite RF of mine since I was very little. This amusing tale of Christopher causing mayhem with his prank play clay cookies would be a great read aloud to a class, followed by activities to help students become more familiar with onomatopoeia‘s, as introduced throughout the story. #UCFLAE3414f17

MorganH www.myactivitymaker.com/?q=MmmCookies provides a great example of an activity letting children make their own cookies with play clay, and use their own onomatopoeia‘s! Because of the nature of the story, the EL strategy that would be good to use would be 17: provide contextual support through audio visuals, models, demonstrations, realia, body language and facial expressions. Sabrinac Hi Morgan, This book likes like it would make for a very fun read aloud! I love how you tied the lesson of onomatopoeia's into this book! I think it's so important for children to have fun while they learn, so this is a great way to do that. (: 7y
