This children's picture book could be used to expose young children to new information regarding trees including the lifecycles in which they follow.

The illustrations in this book contained many different colors that exhibited very high intensity. The colors used in the pictures were very vibrant, strong, and bright. Many of the pictures in the book also displayed the use of texture. The illustrator did a good job depicting various objects throughout the story in a way in which they would likely feel if touched in real life.

This books artwork was very interesting. Sometimes it looked so detailed that I thought that it had to be a photograph. The images cover the entire page and each page seems to have a season of colors as its theme. They are also put together in a sort of collage. The pictures explain whats going on in the story and they even have captions to tell what each item is. They use color very effectively to draw the reader to look at specific aspects of it

Pickpick

This colorful book tells the story of a child claims a maple tree as their own, the journey the tree took to get to them, and how they watch it grow throughout the seasons. This book is both informative and very entertaining. It also both shows and explains the connection the narrator feels to the tree.

After 11 years in San Diego I almost forgot how beautiful fall can be. Fall has arrived in New England & I‘m loving it.

@MittenGirlPeach thank you for all the fall goodies & books. I haven‘t read any of them, although it‘ll probably be a few months before I can read them. Sorry for the late post, it‘s been a busy day of training & trying to do thesis edits. Thank you again for the lovely package

Avanders Yay!! 😍😍🍁🍂🧡 Also - I loved 3y
MittenGirlPeach I‘m so glad you haven‘t read any of the books! I sleuthed your goodreads page heavily, so that was my goal. Now hopefully you like them all! I‘ve read and enjoyed all of them. Still Life is fantastic, of course, but The Right Man is a terrific first in a mystery series centered on two very different women. Great characters. Enjoy! 3y
ncsufoxes @MittenGirlPeach I actually haven‘t read a lot of cozy mysteries that was why I put it as my general theme. I‘m excited to read ones that I don‘t know about. I haven‘t read any Louise Penny books but everyone seems to love her books. I‘m in grad school & getting ready to defend my thesis proposal so my time is a little short on extra reading right now. But they‘ll be a nice to read over holiday break. Thank you again! 3y

When Maya was younger, we used to read both of these books multiple times during the fall! Written by two beloved children‘s authors!
