

The plot was a bit convoluted and took a bit to "dig in" but honestly, by now, I am in just for Amelia Peabody, Emerson, Nefret, Ramses, David, Abdul and the rest.

What a pleasure it is, to settle in with familiar characters. I still love Amelia and Emerson, even if I find Ramses and Nefret a little frustrating at times. I'm glad the library copy arrived in time for #cloakanddaggerchristmas and does, in fact, have foil on the cover. (Although, in honesty, I also checked out the ebook and will likely read more of it that way.)
I didn't think I'd have many #YellowSpines (forgetting all about the Text Classics) and then I turned up a few more

Ramses is growing up. I'm not sure this is a good thing. It is interesting to get another viewpoint, not just Peabody's
