Wow, I didn't realize when I started this that it was 800 pages!! Definitely worth it. It takes a bit to get used to the author skipping from one voice to another, without a chapter break or any clue. Victoria goes back home after many years-her godmothers journals lead her to uncover the dark family secrets. This is a well thought out plot, but beware of Constance the godmother, she is the focus of all that gets revealed. (Some R rated content).

I did enjoy this, although it was a little slow in places for me.
The night of a comet brings a violent death, and repercussions for three generations of a powerful dynasty. An interesting read. 👍🏼
