From Colleen Houck, "New York Times" bestselling author of "The Tiger s Curse, " comes "Recreated, " the second book in the epic Egyptian-inspired Reawakened series, in which a seventeen-year-old must literally go to hell to save the love of her life. When Amon and Lily part tragically, he transports himself to the Netherworld what mortals call hell. Tormented by the loss of his one true love, he d rather suffer in agony during Lily s mortal years than fulfill his duty to protect humanity. Heartbroken, Lily seeks refuge on her grandmother s farm. Yet she can feel Amon s pain, and she has been having dreams dreams of Amon continually suffering. For before he departed, Amon gave Lily something very special, an item that connects them even though they are worlds apart. Now Lily must use this object to free him, and to free their realms from darkness and utter chaos. She will do whatever it takes."

jfalkens @ReadsWithTea she really is 😊 usually it's me who has to disturb her when it's snack or bathroom break but she usually waits nearby or if she's sleeping elsewhere I pick her up and carry her back and she just goes back to sleep on my lap 😊😊 7y

I didn‘t think it was possible for this book to be worse than the first in the series, but it somehow managed to be more racist and had the most convoluted explanation for a love hexagon I‘ve ever seen. Oh, and the poetry somehow got worse.

Book two down but book three isn't out yet 😭😱

398.2 I was "iffy" about this series. Did you like it? 8y
Fancypants @398.2 I think it can be a little heavy handed at some points but overall I thought it was fun. And it has a lot of Egyptian history/mythology which I enjoyed. I would definitely say it is for a younger (middle grade) crowd more than YA/teen if that helps! 8y

Ok I ended up loving this book in the back half so I'm giving it a like. But I really wasn't a fan of the front half. I'm chalking it up to middle book syndrome though. Can't wait to read book 3!

Loveisnotatriangle I'm always afraid of love triangles with this author! Her last series had a massive one. 9y
JaimeArnold I wouldn't necessarily call what happens in this a love triangle. There's some complicated aspects to it. 9y
MersediezWanders Isn't it only a duology? Or are you referring to the novella coming out 8y
JaimeArnold @MersediezWanders pretty sure it's a trilogy. There's no way it would just end like that., 8y
MersediezWanders @arnoldjaime13 I just finished it I see now 8y
