So weird, so bloodthirsty, so unique and wonderfulI have fallen for himFiction Vixen Naasir is the most feral of the powerful group of vampires and angels known as the Seven, his loyalty pledged to the Archangel Raphael. When rumors surface of a plot to murder the former Archangel of Persia, now lost in the Sleep of the Ancients, Naasir is dispatched to find him. For only he possesses the tracking skills requiredthose more common to predatory animals than to man. Enlisted to accompany Naasir, Andromeda, a young angelic scholar with dangerous secrets is fascinated by his natureat once playful and brilliant, sensual and brutal. As they race to find the Sleeping archangel before its too late, Naasir will force her to question all she knows...and tempt her to walk into the magnificent, feral darkness of his world. I‘m so glad @TheSpineView encouraged me to go back and catch-up with some series that I‘ve fallen behind on, after a bunch of serious fiction and political reads, a paranormal romance with a great adventure, some romance, and some truly stellar world building was so refreshing. I really enjoyed revising this world again and now what to know what happens next.🤫

Also #TeamStoker Angels, vampires, revenants, walking reanimated=definitely on theme.

Naasir and the scholar Andromeda must work together to find the sleeping Ancient Alexander before Lijuan can locate and kill him. Can they complete their mission and save their relationship when Andromeda is required to serve 500 years under her terrible grandfather?

1) So many to choose from! I'm going with the Guild-Hunter series by Nalini Singh (Though Mercy Thompson, Women of the Otherworld, Psy-Changeling, and the Hollows are close seconds)
2) Gladiator (Fave series of movies are underworld)
3) Purple
4) Cheesecake (not baked)
5) Orchids, Roses, Sweet Peas, and Daffodils. All the flowers! I just wish I could keep them alive... 😔

Another good book from Nalini Singh. I noticed tht she likes to solve the main problem in the last 20 pages. By then I am way too impatient. This book was also a book I would recommend to younger romance readers. Because the main female character has a wow of celibacy it takes forever for the good stuff to begin and when it does it's not juicy like in some other books. It doesn't matter though. The passion and the yearning is always there.

Each book in this series gets better and better. Naasir may be one of my favorite heroes ever. The mix of sexy and sweet is so good🔥This series is ongoing and I can't wait to see what happens next. #litsyatoz ✅A #romantsy

#octphotochallenge #classicmoviemonster #vampires

Vampires are my favourite classic monsters. What I love about the vampires in the Guild Hunter Series, is their unconventional origins! In this series, the vampires are made by angels and archangels using a toxin they produce. Humans wishing to become a vampire must pass the checks and agree to serve the angel for 100 years.

Naasir is a 600 year old vampire with some very feline traits... 💕🎃

EloisaJames Is this already out?? 8y
Bookworm54 @EloisaJames It is :) in fact the next one, Archangel's Heart is due out very soon! 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I agree this series and Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews have some of the most unique vampires I've seen in fiction. 8y

#booktober #favouritefriendships

There are lots of friendships in the Guild Hunter series, but my favourite is between Illium and Aodhan (aka Bluebell and Sparkles). They mess around sure, but they have a deep bond. ☺️

"The twenty-three months Aodhan had been missing had been the most horrific period of Illium's life... worse than when he'd lost his mortal lover. He'd survived losing her. He didn't know if he could survive losing Aodhan."

Bookworm54 The image is fan art I found on Pinterest (though I can't work out the creator so if anyone knows let me know!) showing Raphael, Elena, and Bluebell. I couldn't find one with Illium and Aodhan 😔 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa That's a series I really should catch up on soon! 8y
Bookworm54 @Riveted_Reader_Melissa you really should! Archangel's Enigma was about Nassir and I love that guy ❤️ His friendship with Ashwini and Janvier was a close second for this challenge :) 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Bookworm54 I thoroughly enjoyed their book, I think I have Nassir's book and then the new one coming out in Nov. So I'm not too far behind. 8y
