Another solid installment to the DD Warren series! I surprisingly figured out whodunnit and (part of) the twist early on, but I think the real strength here was the absolutely brutal nature of the crimes, and the deeply disturbing descriptions of extreme child psychiatric conditions. Truly sinister stuff. Gardner's style reminds me a lot of Karin Slaughter - and for me that's the highest of compliments! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Book 4 in the DD Warren series and they really are getting better. This one had me totally gripped, such a well thought out story and can't wait for book 5 😍
#MountTBR (book 10) #Murder2020 (book 29)
My goodreads app isn‘t working so I can‘t prep my goal for the new year but here‘s the first finished novel of 2020. This one was super fucked up, and I really enjoyed it!
Even though I have a ton of books on the go, I just started reading this one as well. I‘m just on a real D.D. Warren kick!
This fourth book in the D. D. Warren series is the most emotionally taxing so far! #Saved or maybe spared is a better word, one of the main perspectives is a psych nurse for the pediatric ward who is the sole survivor of her family‘s annihilation... as the 25th anniversary approaches, more families are turning up dead... And finally, in my re-reading of this series, I sort of remembered it!! #SpringIntoReading
Man I love a great book written by Lisa Gardner. This one is no different.
Two families are dead. One child from each family has been to the same psychiatric ward on the eighth floor of a hospital ward. A sole survivor from a previous murder of her family 25 yrs earlier has a anniversary coming of what happened to her family, she also works in the hospital.
Things are happening, can D.D Warren solve it before more families die?
Loved it❤❤❤
A great way to start the weekend!
4⭐️. Gardner is a great writer. Her thrillers typically involve acts of desperation that leave you breathless. This book is no different. From the book‘s first page you are faced with a savage and horrifying family murder. As the book progresses the mystery, intrigue and suspense grows, as do the murders. https://lharvey250.tumblr.com/post/158937887809/live-to-tell-lisa-gardner-my-rat...

Another great crime series! I really like DD Warren in these.
Tropical Storm Emily decided to pop up on us so I'm taking advantage of the cooler temperature and the rain to read on the porch. ☁☔💧She's leaving us with plenty of water...
