Fun tidbits about Roald Dahl‘s life/trivia. I didn‘t really care for his monthly observations. Couple of recipes. The missing chapter from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory wasn‘t that exciting, and the alternate ending is basically how they ended the movie.

Pretty much a children's almanac to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Interspersed with plenty of Blake illustrations, it's a mishmash of extras about early drafts, lists of chocolate facts or things Dahl liked, a couple scraps of writing from and biographical tidbits about Dahl, even a couple recipes. Eight year old me would have loved it though it comes off as all over the place as an adult. A couple interesting details but a lot of filler.

ew. I feel like I actually heard this bit of trivia before but still.

Short little book I'm seeing if I can get in between other things this evening. Figure the shortest month is a good one for getting shorter #tbr out of the way.
