so-soThis was ... not what I was expecting. I was sent it to review for my queer Canadian book blog, but it doesn't have any queer content, which made for a weird reading experience b/c I kept waiting for something that never happened. Regardless, I might have loved a book like this in my late teens or early 20s, but now dark, angsty fiction with a damaged protagonist just isn't my thing. Very Catcher in the Rye-esque. #CanLit
Reggie Maybe that is how far queer has traveled, we've come full circle, that no queer characters makes it queer. Lol jk. 8y
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @Reggie It is an interesting question if an author's identity alone makes a queer book. That's not how I use the term "queer book" though and not what I was anticipating with this one! 8y
