This book seems to have gotten a lot of criticism for flagging some of the risks of yoga, but I found it very interesting and the outcomes heavily in favour of yoga.
Great use of existing studies and breaking down the benefits of yoga into several different tranches.
I took a lot of notes on things I‘d like to follow up on and learn more about.
A great read for any yogi 🧘🏻‍♀️

Great find and read. Been practicing yoga since 2008 and learned, what I would call, the right way. It‘s all about learning and knowing yourself, doing yoga to strengthen and prepare for meditation, and then practicing meditation. Insightful book, full of verifiable facts, easy to read, and the truth about yoga we never see or hear about. I learned a lot and found comfort in seeing what I already knew proven.

Redwritinghood I started yoga about 4 years ago. Now I can‘t imagine not having a regular practice. 6y
ZaqueEyn @Redwritinghood nice! I practice regularly myself, 3-5 times a week... I learned from a kundalini master and have routines memorized that I do in the comfort of my own home instead of a studio. 6y

Engaging in my typical Friday night activity. Reading about how certain styles of yoga actually DO provide cardiovascular benefit. Which is timely considering I almost got into a brawl with my phlebotomist this week when she said yogis "do nothing."
