Tokyo Ghoul, Vol. 14
Tokyo Ghoul, Vol. 14 | Sui Ishida
4 posts | 15 read | 3 to read
Ghouls live among us, the same as normal people in every way--except their craving for human flesh. Ken Kaneki is an ordinary college student until a violent encounter turns him into the first half-human half-Ghoul hybrid. Trapped between two worlds, he must survive Ghoul turf wars, learn more about Ghoul society and master his new powers. As Kaneki and the fiercest fighter in the CCG, Arima, finally face off, several investigators launch an assault on Yoshimura, unaware of the danger that awaits them. The massive battle takes a turn for the worse when the One-Eyed Owl appears, leaving the fate of Kaneki and the CCG hanging in the balance.

What an ending! Some stuff I expected, others came as a complete surprise. Lots of action, the story gets a good wrap-up, leaving just enough to the imagination to satisfy me.

Now to start Tokyo Ghoul:re and see where the story goes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ omg. While the art throughout the series was a bit hard to see sometimes, this was, nonetheless, an amazing storyline. It was absolutely heartbreaking. In this volume, I definitely cried and even stopped breathing at points. This whole series was so much more than met the eye, and it all came to a stunning point in this final volume. Worthy of a standing ovation. 👏👏I really can‘t describe my feelings, because I‘m still reeling.

Tokyo Ghoul series (vol 1-14) complete

I actually finished this series a few days after returning from the Japan trip. The last books (vol 13 & 14) were amazing. And afterwards, I was so caught up in the moment that I ended up ordering all the currently released books for sequel, Tokyo Ghoul: Re. 😆. Haven‘t read the new books yet because I am currently taking a break from all things Tokyo Ghoul, for now 😅

Overall, a good manga series.

*image used is not from the last volume, to avoid spoilers* Okay, so.. where to begin? 😅 I actually can't remember the last time I bought a series in bulk so quickly 😅
There were some characters that were more likable than others, there were some volumes that stood out more than others (4, 5 & 7 were personally my favorites ☺️) And I actually enjoyed the ending, a lot of unanswered questions unfortunately #tokyoghoul #manga #mangareader
