HYBRID PUBLISHING: Everything between traditional and self-publishing falls under this umbrella. My fave model is cooperative or CO-PUBLISHING, in which a group of authors share tasks based on their strengths (editing, formatting, cover design, etc.)

VANITY PUBLISHING: Industry pros usually advise to proceed with caution for this model, in which an author assumes the publisher's financial risk for publishing their own book.

vivastory I did! I worked there 3 years. I started in concessions, but then moved on to taking tickets & cleaning auditoriums & then the box office. It was a fun first job. I have a lot of good memories of that time. 7y

shelbyy @vivastory yeah I moved on to those things too. We also had Pretzel Maker and New York Fries so I did that too. Eventually I became a supervisor as well. I loved doing that. What movie theatre did you work at? 7y

vivastory Dickinson Theater. It was a chain in the greater KC area. They're all closed now, couldn't compete with AMC. Where did you work? 7y

shelbyy @vivastory It was Empire Theatres but switched to Landmark Cinemas. I‘m in Manitoba, Canada 7y
