Well-intentioned, but poorly executed. This is a diverse, hopeful book meant to reassure children that most people are good. A needed message, especially now. But it implies that people who swear are bad. It tells children that “a person who is frowning and mad, or sad, or mean is like a sour grape in a bunch of sweet grapes...Everyone looks nicer when they smile and laugh.” Ummmm...no. Just no.
