This is a ‘pick‘ even though I found all characters dull and I wasn‘t left with any desire to find any more of their work. So maybe really only for the prose styling and the shortness of it, with some flickers of great scenes and moments. I read it in two sittings. I enjoyed the flow, disliked the story. But I‘d still recommend it, like trying a new liquor, the experience was sweet and memorable but the taste didn‘t excite.

What a revelation! Wish I'd read this year's ago. The effect of teling the story in verse is like one those paintings where what the artist leaves out shapes the image.

McFarchie @Lindy I have never read anything like it. 8y
Lindy @McFarchie I agree. This is what got me hooked on novels told in verse format, however. Not one extra word. 8y
