Healthy living is all well and good, but nothing gets a girls blood moving like a nice, old-fashioned murder. For fans of Hollywood, Broadway, or old-fashioned glamour, Charlotte Graham is as refreshing as an ice-cold gin martini. This book is a delightful reminder that even the most cunning killer cant keep a good actress down. Murder at the Spa is the 1st book in the Charlotte Graham Mysteries, but you may enjoy reading the series in any order.

This was a really good classic mystery story with compelling writing. It‘s fun to read any decent genre novel, but discovering an unknown standout is always special.

IndoorDame @4thhouseontheleft clever! I‘ll have to check that out. I‘m really getting back into detective stories in the last few months. I used to read them in high school and then stopped for some reason, 6y
alisiakae Same! I took a long break from crime fiction. I‘m currently reading the Harry Hole series by Jo Nesbø, and plan on reading through the Tana French Dublin Murder Squad series next. I #blameLitsy for both. ? (edited) 6y

Charlotte Graham, a renowned stage and movie actress, finds murder and mayhem in her travels in her golden years. This is the first in a “cozy” mystery series written in the early 90s. I loved the whole series! She at times uses her notoriety to get answers, and Matteson‘s writing is so enjoyable to read. #supertrouper #ABBAinAugust
