The premise was interesting, however the beginning of the book was a bit dark and I got a bit bored about a third of the way through. I might read the second volume as the story starts to pick up a little towards the end, but we will see. I did appreciate the author‘s commentary and cultural explanations at the very end as a lot of the references went right over my head.

Starting yet another series while exploring Japanese culture and literature for 2023. I love how easy these are to read and how entertaining they are. This one had an index at the end explaining some of the cultural sayings and such I didn‘t fully understand. Off to read the next in the series.

Entertaining. I liked all the explanations in the back for the little references I didn't quite get. The art was nice and the ayakashi were cool. This is an anime, too, but I haven't watched it! (Maybe I will now..)

Continuing this series with volume 4. I loved the anime and I wanted more so I picked up the manga and I‘m so glad I did! The plot is amazing and I love the characters!
