Quite a funny read. Perhaps I shouldn‘t have dove in immediately after I re-read the bell jar. In any case, certainly fun.

Blame it on @britt_brooke 😜
I‘ve been a QVC (not HSN) fan since middle school, so I loved this satire of home shopping television. It follows several months in the lives of hosts. It starts out with one host accidentally exposing himself on air. There‘s also one having an affair with the boss, one who starts popping Valium after getting emails about excessive body hair, and another falling in love. Enjoyable brain candy. 4⭐️🎧
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was waaay funnier than I remembered. Maybe it‘s because I just reread his essay collections where he describes his childhood infatuation with home shopping shows. The live aspect drew him in; the first reality tv. Burroughs‘s strong suit is memoir, but this satirical novel, his very first book, is quite entertaining. I‘d like see more fiction from him some day ... but I want the personal updates first.
So maybe more "yellow spines" than "yellow covers" but I never have followed directions well. #riotgrams Day 2.
Funny! I love his memoirs so was not sure what to expect here, but it was certainly entertaining.
