Really enjoyed this classic heist adventure, set in the Flanders right after WWI. The action is fast and furioso, but what l enjoyed the most were actually the characters and the relation between them.
It is about digging out a lost stash of gold, but it is also about overvoming the ghosts of trench warfare.
Brilliant historical setting.

The beginning of the year has been such a mess for me that l ended up reading only two books
1. The Vanishing of dr Winter by L.B. Hathaway for #LadyDetective
2. The Golden Grave by David Lawlor for #IrishAuthor (l'm still reading this but hope to finish tonight).

I don't have many slotted for Spring, so l'll try to catch up on the ones l left behind.
