panNo. No. No. This book was terrible. Awful. Gross.
No indicators to advise readers that it deals with rape and torture in disgusting, explicit detail. It was awful. I just kept saying "What the f*ck?" Skip it. Throw it in the trash. Use it as a coaster. Do not read it.
I have been craving something delightfully creepy and in lieu of the more popular picks, I‘m actively seeking out hidden gems. I can‘t remember where I heard about either of these but both synopses sound quite appealing! I‘m hoping they‘ll make me think twice before turning out the lights at night!
pickYou will need a strong stomach to get through this. Read it in less than 24 hours, couldn't put it down. A lot of blood, gore, violence and torture but well written. A little obvious at times but isn't it so with life?!
pickOh my goodness, this book had all the makings of a gritty, edge-of-your-seat horror novel. While several descriptions aren't for the faint of heart, it's certainly one of those nightmare-fueling must reads!
