I listened to the audible version while I‘m trying my hand at this paint by numbers painting I got back at Christmas.
Loved this book & have moved onward to part 2!

This was a super fun ya. I kept turning the pages. Very readable. The action is fast paced and interesting. The plot moves and the characters don‘t spend too long in their heads. A little predictable but not in a boring way.
I'd give this a 3.5 out of 5. It was ok, and I'll probably pick up the next one to see how it ends, but it's not going to be high on my tbr list.
This was the June YA pick for Once Upon a Book Club and it was so-so & the gifts included not interesting. I'm unsubscribing. Let me know what you think. I previously really loved this box box. 😞
This was a swan lake retelling, and the http://onceuponabookclub.com YA book pick. It was so fun to have them do a fantasy book (which is totally my thing) and a fairytale retelling (even better!)
In case you don't know they are a book box that includes a book with wrapped gifts that are pulled directly from descriptions in the book. As you read you open them & it's like holding pieces of the story. Use code "NOVELPAIRING" to save 10%

This took a little while to get into because there was no world building, the story just throws you into the world and story. But after I figured out what was going on I enjoyed the story. However I didn't connect with the love story at all.
I bought this mostly bc of the cover ?it's supposed to be good tho; a "retelling" of swan lake, which I honestly don't even know what that means lol
Such a beautiful and heartbreaking story! It's not all heartbreaking though there are times of joy and laughter and romance! I can't wait for the second book in this series and I believe I might be crushing on Lothar lol
