Mehso-so

As much as I like reading tales from traditions not familiar to me this one felt a little off. There was an inconsistency with the translation in that some times it was trying to follow a different cadence than regular English and other times it just didn‘t. It was a little jarring whenever it switched forms.

Another Saturday volunteering at the library bookstore. I‘m dying because someone just tried to buy a .75 cent book with a 20 and I had to tell him I don‘t have that kind of change until later in the day. This is a small library not a retail establishment. Anyways I should be able to finish the tagged during my shift.

#BookReport
Managed to finish two books this week. Both were good so I feel accomplished.

#WeeklyForecast
My goal for this week is to finish the tagged and make progress on my book spin for the month. I‘m hoping to move through my ambitious stack this month so I probably need to pick up the pace a bit.

Ugh, I‘m struggling to finish this. Only four more stories to go, but I don‘t want to pick it up. The stories are so cheesy and not entertaining at all. I‘m not sure how this got an award. Maybe because it was a unique look at another culture. It‘s just not good, though; although, maybe children would enjoy it. I dunno. 😖 #NewberyEpicChallenge

Pickpick

Short stories that tell about how certain things came to be. Explanations as to how fireworks created or how tea was discovered. Interesting. Good for read aloud when studying Asia or myths. #NewberyChallenge
