so-soBernays was known as the father of P.R. Written in 1928, Goebbles of the Third Reich read and used its principles to promote Hitler, even though Bernays was Jewish. If you enjoy sociology and history this is a short read. Interesting fact, Bernays is Sigmund Freud's nephew.

I'm not a huge fan of Mr Bernays and his work, but Propaganda gives incredible insight into the subtle art of public relations. Many of us think of the word propaganda with a negative connotation. Edward Bernays on the other hand, sought to redefine how we think of the term. He saw it as neither good or bad, but simply effective. I'm about done and feeling like a real ad man. Written in the 20s,but the principles outlined remain relevant.
