The fictional adventures of Tommy Taylor are the biggest publishing sensation of the still-young century. And now, years after the last volume, Tommy-s creator Wilson Taylor, long missing and believed dead, is unleashing a brand-new Tommy Taylor book upon the world. There-s just none problem: It-s not a new Tommy Taylor book at all. Sinister forces have create a fake book in Wilson-s name, a fraud designed to destroy his literary legacy - and coax the reclusive author of hiding so they can destroy him once and or all. But they didn-t count on Wilson-s most powerful creation: his son, the real Tom Taylor. To unmasks the truth about the new Tommy, Tom must confront some of the darkest secrets that surround him, from the hidden fate of his father to the secret origin of his closest friend to the true nature of his fictional alter ego. Will Tom be able to stop his doppelganger-s return? Or will the publishing event of the decade lead to the end of time?

Pickpick

I‘m late to this series and I know it gets mixed reviews but I love it so far. It‘s meta and literary and there was a freakin‘ choose your own adventure bit in this volume which made my inner child squee with delight.

Zelma I read and enjoyed the first volume, but somehow never bothered reading any more. 5y
Schlinkles @Zelma My library had the first two and then it took me a little while to find the others because they‘re out of print, sadly. 5y

Mehso-so

#WitchyReads Day 14: Loosely based on the popularity of Harry Potter, this series is a headtrip and very meta. Tom Taylor (modeled after HP) remains at a loss as to how to harness this power within him. He grows impatient with Lizzie and Savoy (think #Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley) as he tries to figure out exactly what he needs to do. Then naturally he dies. Or not. This graphic novel is strange that way. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-gjY

Linsy I love how many books and creativity Harry Potter has inspired! JK truly is a genius! (Or, if Elizabeth Gilbert is to be believed, has a genius.) 6y

W? Easy breezy. V? Here and there. U? I could only find one on my shelf and I felt silly for not thinking of it immediately (I seriously scoured my shelves before smacking my forehead and going 'oh, yeah - Unwritten!') 😄 #startswithuvw #marchintoreading
