A beauty and the beast story with a gothic feel. Throughout the first half of the book I found the heroine to be extremely frustrating. Sidonie did not deserve Jonas, who was an absolutely perfect dark and tortured hero☺️ But by the end of the book I was completely invested in their story. The ending was a little to drawn out for me but it all worked out in the end, obviously😍👍

I chose this to start off my #bookadaysummerchallenge today. And it did not disappoint! I really liked Merrick and in a way I felt so bad for him. It was a rather enjoyable book with pretty good banter between the two main characters. I shall be adding the rest of the series to my tbr pile!
