The Three Novels
The Three Novels | Emily Brontė, Charlotte Brontė, Anne Brontė
6 posts | 4 read | 1 to read
The most cherished novel from each of England's talented sisters, in one gorgeously packaged volume. The Brontė family was a literary phenomenon unequalled before or since. Both Charlotte's Jane Eyre and Emily's Wuthering Heights have won lofty places in the pantheon and stirred the romantic sensibilities of generations of readers. This Leatherbound Classics edition unites these two enduring favourites with the lesser known but no less powerful work by their youngest sister, Anne. Drawn from Anne's own experiences as a governess, Agnes Grey offers a compelling view of Victorian chauvinism and materialism. Its inclusion makes The Brontė Sisters a must-have volume for anyone fascinated by this singularly talented family.

Finishing up Wuthering Heights to top off this compilation of Bronte Sister books.

Also finishing up this book that's not in the Litsy database yet! About halfway through and so far enjoying this debut YA story about Caroline and her grandfather, their family secret, and their efforts to keep their town safe! #ParhamsMill ā¤ļøšŸ“ššŸ’™

Look, Charlotte, I get it, Jane Eyre is an important literary work. It says a lot about the treatment of women and the fact that you wrote it under a male pseudonym says a lot as well, but for Heaven's sake can we let up on the lengthy descriptions?! This book has three novels in it: The first half is Jane Eyre and the second half contains both Wuthering Heigts and Agnes Grey. Share the spotlight, GEEZ!

Like, just kidding, but also not... šŸ˜¬
