December 11 marks the 100 year anniversary of the author's death, a fact I only became aware of when reading about Schreiner after finishing the book. I recommend with reservations. Be prepared to hold two opposing views simultaneously here. Pros: Beautiful writing on nature, spirituality, and society expectations of women and men.
