Not my favorite Hawthorne but I‘m glad I read it.

I only got a couple of chapters in before deciding that now isn't the time I want to read this book.

One more to go in my Hawthorne collection. I haven't liked any of them as much as The Scarlet Letter so far. Hoping to end on a high note with The Marble Faun, but will bail of necessary.
