For the love of blueberries, Elena Watkins was destined for greatness, even though she didn't know it. Before entering Paegeia Elena was not special, she wasn't even average until the night her father was killed by a creature she thought only existed in fairy tales - a dragon. With her father's death leaving her orphaned, Elena is whisked away to her true birthplace, Paegeia. Arriving at Dragonia Academy, the premier school for young Dragonians; a school she was never meant to attend because her father was a dragon. Unbeknownst to Elena danger is lurking behind the enchanted vines concealing the once thriving capital of Paegeia - Etan. Goran, the darkest sorcerer in the realm, has lain dormant for over a century behind the crumbling city. There, in the shadowy ruins he plots his revenge to destroy the only weapon that can kill him - the King of Lion Sword. When the sword is stolen without a trace Elena doesn't think twice about seeking it; knowing deep down that it is her destiny to save her new home.

Pickpick

Fun YA book with dragons. Although I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking, and the teen romance got on my nerves a bit, the adventure and story of the dragons and the humans who can ride them kept me entertained.

I especially liked the descriptions of the different dragons and their abilities.

Bit of a rant here.
I've just received 3 of the dragonian series books, all paperback.
And I already had Firebolt in paperback.
And all 4 books are a different size.
HOW? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!
If there was a publisher change I would understand (I've got a few like that)
But it's the same publisher, and they're all the same book type.
I am awaiting Thunderlight, and I'm pretty sure it'll be different too...

Aylandra Firebolt and Frostbite are pretty close in size, but it goes nuts for Moonbreeze and Starlight. I know it's not a big publisher, but there is a lot to nitpick about the paperback covers. Especially how firebolt's blurb is blurry and hard to read. I have books that are self published that are crisper and cleaner and look really good. 5y

A great book and a excellent start to the Dragonian series. its free on kindle, (last I saw) so I would recommend it to anyone. If the book really takes your fancy, you can get the audio on Audible.
Sorry if this sounds like an advert, but I just really like this series and can't help but promote it if I can. I would explain the plot, but the description on kindle would do it better than me ;)
