panRosie is a run down wife who's dream is fish and chips on a bench in a drizzly little town no one has heard of. When her husbands leaves, it all gets increasingly more miserable. She felt so flat that I couldn't help but feel like her husband should leave, she has no drive or motivation.
It's a shame there wasn't more exploration around feelings and mental health, and what could have been an opportunity for some body positivity was swept away
pickI‘m hard on domestic thrillers because I want to love them in the way that I just can‘t put them down until the story is resolved on the very last page. This was good enough, but it was put-downable. Had they asked me, I would have suggested a different title and the cover art would have been an artist‘s drawing of a beautiful Italian girl.

pickFeeling groggy this morning, thanks to some PTSD flare ups. I didn't really feel like walking, but the Terror Squad don't care. Forced myself to do a slightly longer route to the library to return this one (two days overdue, whoops), which helped. Have a feeling the gigantic coffee I'm about to buy will help even more.
I enjoyed this book, although it was all over the place and full of horrible people. Loved the revenge theme.
Walked down to the library on this chilly morning and it was definitely NOT as enjoyable as it was yesterday. But at least it's sunny!
I haven't finished my current read, so even though it's due today I didn't return it - bad library patron am I. But there were three holds waiting for me, so I best get to reading! Who needs to work, anyway? 🙄
