Murdered artists. Masterful forgeries.Art crime at its worst.A straightforward murder investigation quickly turns into a quagmire of stolen Eurocorps weapons, a money-laundering charity, forged art and high-ranking EU officials abusing their power. As an insurance investigator and world renowned expert in nonverbal communication, Dr Genevieve Lenard faces the daily challenge of living a successful, independent life. Particularly because she has to deal with her high functioning Autism. Nothing - not her studies, her high IQ or her astounding analytical skills - prepared her for the changes about to take place in her life.It started as a favour to help her boss' acerbic friend look into the murder of a young artist, but soon it proves to be far more complex. Forced out of her predictable routines, safe environment and limited social interaction, Genevieve is thrown into exploring the meaning of friendship, expanding her social definitions, and for the first time in her life be part of a team in a race to stop more artists from being murdered.

My dad has read every one of the series and raves about how the author captures the mysterious mentality of a person with Asperger's. I got the first three for free but I. can't. Get. Into it. What am I missing?

The first book in the series featuring Doctor Genevieve Lenard who though living with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder uses her unique abilities to read and interpret nonverbal clues to unveil international conspiracies. This is an amazing series that gives an inside look at the world of fine art and the challenge of a protagonist who sees problems as black and white in a world that is made of gray areas. Wonderfully written.

This was a surprisingly good crime novel. I really liked the main character Dr Lenard. I do think that I will be the rest of series very soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Looks like I am going to finish this one up on my next flight... I am very surprised how much I like it, especially since it was one of those free from Amazon deals and those have been mostly disappointing.

Had this book on my Kindle for a long time and decided to read it next while I was still listening to 'Flowers from Berlin'... I am now 60 pages in and so far I really like it.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book however I was instantly hooked after meeting Genevieve the main character. I have now added the rest of the series to my To Read list.

I only bought this book because I read it was about art, and I was not dissapointed. This is a wonderfully complex thriller. I am definitely going to read the other books in the series.
