Get It Done
Get It Done: From Procrastination to Creative Genius in 15 Minutes a Day | Sam Bennett
6 posts | 2 read | 2 to read
Organized and artist don't usually go together. Creative types are more often seen as sensitive, melodramatic, eccentric, misunderstood, and the like. To those who have been labeled in this way, Sam Bennett says, Congratulations! You're an artist. And through the Organized Artist Company, she has coached hundreds of artists to overcome procrastination, lack of focus, and time-sucking habits so that they can get their art done and out into the world. Bennett explains why procrastination is genius in disguise and then prescribes dozens of wonderfully revelatory exercises such as making a My Heroes list and could-do lists (because Bennett finds to-do lists too dictatorial) each of which requires only a fifteen-minute commitment. She gives readers practical, real-world tips, such as how to recognize who they should not talk to about their projects and when research has created Analysis Paralysis. Each of the tools she offers shifts the reader's thinking and prompts the kind of insights that have the power to turn underperforming geniuses into accomplished artists.

My TBR is way too big and I need my Litsy friends to help me reduce it! I‘m joining @TheReadingMermaid in her #makemereadit challenge. I‘ll posted a stack of books and you vote. See @TheReadingMermaid ‘s original post for all the details!

Just started listening to the audiobook on a walk yesterday. Have accomplished more this morning already than I do on many days. Now the question is am I really working on projects I love or have I just elevated procrastination to another level of genius?

@Liberty
1. Really really REALLY read all the books next to my bed (this is not even counting my Kindle 😞) - I could easily do another #MountTBR - Everest
2. Continue with #192019challenge
3. Do another #litsyatoz - it‘ll be easy - see pic above☝🏻
4. Write more reviews - in reading so much this year, I didn‘t keep up with that
5. Use my local library more

10:38 pm. A little over an hour left for the #24in48. I think I may have made the 24 hours but am not sure yet as I have to add up my time. After accidentally resetting my stopwatch yesterday, I told myself once I reached 6-8 hrs I'd take a screen shot, reset it and start again!

saguarosally I should have done that! 8y
