This time of year, I get asked a lot of questions about the “haunted” Rundel Memorial Library Building, where I work. If it is haunted, my own experiences have involved a very helpful spirit and elevators. #Ghostober #libraries (See comments for more of this story!)

PatriciaU My first experience involved me walking through the Upper Stacks floor with an armload of books. It was early on a Saturday and there was probably only one other person in the building. As I approached the elevator, the call button lit up and called the elevator when I was still several feet away. 3y
PatriciaU Most recently, I had a similar experience where I had arrived fairly early and there was no one around. There are 3 elevators involved in my journey from parking lot to office and, on this day, every one of them opened for me as I approached. Every one. So, if Rundel is haunted, it‘s by a friendly and polite ghost! 3y
