I was disappointed in this #kindlesingle. I wanted to read more about Alan Turing's involvement with breaking Enigma and his time at Bletchley Park, but that was barely covered. It was just a quick overview of his life and jobs. It digressed into a discussion of AI describing many of the contrasting viewpoints. Overall, the flow was lacking and it skipped around too much for me. Oh well.

I had to read something about Alan Turing after watching The Imitation Game for the second time (now on #Netflix). This is a #kindlesingle I found. So far, I'm finding parts of it to be hard to understand because the author skips around a bit and seems to write as if the reader already knows a lot of the background information about him or the time period, but the topic is still fascinating!

saresmoore I grabbed this single for the same reason. I wonder if it will prove that my fascination is more with Benedict Cumberbatch than it is with the history of the computer... 8y
CaitlinByTheBook @saresmoore Yep, I'd say that's about right! I was disappointed in the single. I'd rather just have watched the movie again 😂 8y
