This sounds like a fun middle grade read! The Met is one of my favorite museums and no matter how many times I've been there is always more to see.

I don't generally read middle grade books but this one really caught my attention.
The Metropolitans is a dash of Mixed-Up Files, and a dash of Knightley & Son (or The Apothecary). But for some reason, it's not clicking with me. A diverse cast of kids, museums, secret codes, Arthurian legends... It hits all my interests but I guess I'm just not in the mood for it right now.
I don't read a lot of middle grade, but this one drew me in. It's historical adventure set in NYC in 1942, just after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. But the real selling point to me was that it involves a scavenger hunt (!) in the Metropolitan Museum (!!), and the Arthurian legend (!!!). As a bonus, there are timely representations of prejudice based on race or religion. I hope the final cover doesn't feature the 2 white kids so prominently.
