#snowyday here in the Bend! Just sent my hub and daughters off to the store so I can continue reading and resting. I still hurt like crazy but I‘m going to rest while I have them around to fetch things for me. And watch the snow from inside—it‘s very pretty.

I know this is nothing--and it's really only enough to make driving a pain, so far. But lake effect snow today. My view from the front door at work, I wasn't quick enough to get the big fat Robin that was in the tree--hope it doesn't freeze.

You can't tell but it is still totally coming down out there. Braved the weather to go to church this morning but absolutely happy to be home with my books for the rest of the day!

CocoReads @Aseleener we gave staff gifts today and as one of the staff, I needed to be there. But even without that we baptized a whole family today (Mom, dad, 4 kids) and that was pretty special. 8y

CocoReads @Zelma it's the best reading weather but my husband has the remote which distracts me for 2 reasons: he watches everything at ear shattering volume and he can't stay on a channel for more than 30 seconds. I've put my earbuds in just to muffle the sound. 8y

CocoReads @Zelma the big joke is that as soon as the kids move out, we get our own rooms. That should help a lot! But still another year and a half before it'll happen. Lol 8y

CocoReads We are pressed for space. I'd go to the bedroom to read but he keeps saying he's going to take a nap...I'm easily distracted today anyway. 8y
LauraBeth That's a lot of snow! We never get snow in ATL but we did maybe four years ago and since the city never experiences it - everything was shut down for more than a week. Finally, on like day six of us all being in the house together, I risked my life and drove to work on a sheet of ice (where a lot of other folks had the same idea) 😂so I understand you 8y
CocoReads Since snow is fairly common here, it's mostly business as usual but the first snow never fails to amaze me how many people forget how to drive in it. I mean, come on, it happens every year! Some years more than others and I think this is going to be a fairly snow heavy year. 8y

Yay! Just as I was getting started with setting up our musical snow globe collection (have a few more), the mail came, and look what arrived! My Secret Santa package 😊🎅. Thanks, and looking forward to Dec. 21st! No tree up yet, or any other decorations, but it'll go under the tree as soon as that happens! #secretsantagoespostal #wintersolsticebookexchange
