It's not exactly #evilsanta but St.Nicholas and Krampus are part of the tradition in my country. In Slovenian folk tales usually we have good kids (St. Nicholas rewards them) and naughty (punished by Krampus). Makarovič modern twist on the traditional fairy tale is quite interesting -the youngest of the Krampus (he is still child) with the name Malič tricks St.Nicholas on several occasions, so that he too gets some cookies.

Simona @LibrarianRyan @LeahBergen Believe me, it's awesome only in the books... in real life this is a very scary tradition. As a child I was frighten to go outside on December 6. Maybe because I was a naughty girl 🤔? 8y
MemoirsForMe Thx for sharing this. I recently watched a movie about the Krampus. Who knew it was a Slovenian folk tale! 8y
Simona @UwannaPublishme This is a widespread custom in most European countries, not originated from Slovenia. Link to the explanation https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas_Day and https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krampus 8y
