Feminist icon Gloria Feldt pulls no punches in this new book, which argues that the most confounding problem facing women today isnOCOt that doors of opportunity arenOCOt open, but that not enough women are walking through them. Now that I‘m fired up about the recent #botm changes I stalked their Instagram and found that they are telling people to reference this recent post on their blog “explaining” their choice to eliminate the judge blurbs. But while it explains some of the new features they have added it gives no reasoning for eliminating the judges. I believe they are making budget cuts that are going to cost them in the long run when memberships are not renewed 😒

The_Heeler_Booklife I don‘t see why they couldn‘t have put that feature on plus the judges. But, if they are doing budget cuts, then it is best to be honest with your customers instead of being shady. They told a few people about the discussion board was because they are adding them to each individual book. I guess we will see... 7y
Reviewsbylola Just a steaming pile of bullshit. I used to sing the praises of botm‘s customer service. NOT ANYMORE. They may as well post a blog post that says “we don‘t care about our customers or their feedback!” Because that‘s how I feel. 7y

MicheleinPhilly @Reviewsbylola Of course there are people on IG SINGING the praises of this new “experience.” I‘m actually laughing at some of these people who “didn‘t want to read an essay to decide.” Um, you do know this is a book club, right? Reading is sort of the point. 7y
swishandflick I think I'm gonna send them an email to cancel both of my subscriptions before they renew. And I'm kind of sad (feels like the end of an era), but this is just not cool. They're justifications are wholly inadequate. @emilyhaldi @Reviewsbylola 7y

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks So frustrating!! I love hardcover, and while you can get books cheaper other places they may not be brand new or debut/emerging authors. Although this month‘s selections only feature one new author which is Tom Miller, right? So I‘m undecided on what to do!!! @Cinfhen @Reviewsbylola @MicheleinPhilly @swishandflick PLUS our book club is #BotmBuddyRead 🤣😂 7y

Beachesnbooks Ugh this whole "new look" thing is such BS. They should have reached out in an email and explained if they were going to make a huge change like getting rid of the judges (or not done it at all!!!). So frustrated. I only have 1 month before I have to renew or quit but in the meantime I'm emailing them and complaining in hopes they reconsider 7y
