This book is making me sick to my stomach to read. It's crazy how laws were put on the books to basically allow us to legally discriminate based on where someone is from. Over half of our agriculture workers in the US are undocumented, and the agriculture industry pays big money to be able to continue using a disposable labor force. Eye-opening book. I'm listening to the #audiobook on #Scribd
pickThis is an excellent introduction to how the concept of "illegal" immigration was constructed and the politics around it. After reading this book I went out and bought an armload of other books about immigration that I can't wait to read. Oh, this book is available on audio.

This book does a really nice job tackling the issue of immigration & putting it in a historical context & displays a lot of the implications of government policies & laws. An excellent overview for anyone wanting to understand the humanitarian issues at stake under our current system.
