I enjoyed this book because it shows us that even though something's look worse from afar, but when you get up close and really understand what's going then you see it's going on.

Historical fiction and was written in 2013. The book is about how almost every family member in the Hope family that the black outside was humungous. One by one the family scaried of the dog besides Small. She saw the dog outside and began to play with it and run around. When Small came back she showed the family that the dog wasn't big after all.

Odd little book, but kind of cool. The illustrations are full of detail, and the story is weird and interesting and way more complex than many picture books. Unique and worth a read.
