The beer's a-bubblin'

I made a batch of homebrew last weekend. My first attempt in Colorado turned out really well 🍺. Trying a tripel this time. The recipe was a little off, so I had to make some adjustments, but I'm hopeful for a good brew🤞3 months is a long time to wait to find out, though 😬

It's bottling day! Did my first homebrew. It was a lot of fun and tastes pretty good so far. 2 weeks to bottle condition, then it will be ready to share. Already looking towards the next batch 😁

Spent the day brewing up a batch of imperial brown ale with my wife during which she informed me that "Austenland" by Shannon Hale is no good. The house smells like beer and it'll take about three weeks to ferment. Hopefully it'll be done by Thanksgiving. Took breaks to read "The Sellout" (so goddamn good) and listen to "Hag-Seed" on audio. Tonight: Mai Tais from the "Smuggler's Cove" tiki cocktail book. Happy Saturday!

readinginthedark I enjoyed Austenland. It's definitely a fun book, though, not a lot of depth. 8y
